TRAVELLING TO PRAIA DA URSA. Parking is at Cabo da Rocha and the track leads off from there, follow the white, red, yellow trail signs. From Cascais and Lisbon follows the N247 and turning off at Azóia and follow signs for 1.5 miles (2.5km) from there. From Sintra take the N247 East. Praia da Ursa. Set on the Atlantic west coast just north of Cabo da Roca is a little gem of a beach - Praia da Ursa. Unspoilt and wild, this little beach is often cited as one of the most beautiful in the area. The name of the beach comes from the "Rocha da Ursa" (bear rock) one of two huge sea stacks at the northern end of the beach.

Hiking the Praia da Ursa Trail is hands down been one of the best hikes we've done on mainland Portugal so far. The coastline here on the west coast is something else. The best part is we had no idea what to expect from Praia da Ursa Trail and it completely blew us away. This hike is awesome to do if you plan to visit Cabo da Roca from Lisbon.
